1/10/25 16 Therefore I urge you to imitate me. [1] Christ’s love, character, and truth? Paul's invitation is bold, yet it comes with accountability. He doesn’t ask others to follow him for his sake, but because he himself is following Christ ( 1 Corinthians 11:1 ). It reminds us that our lives are meant to be living testimonies. Whether we realize it or not, people are watching and learning from us. The question is: are we living in such a way that others see Christ in us? This verse also encourages us to seek out spiritual mentors. We all need people who model what it looks like to walk closely with God—people whose faith inspires us to grow, whose wisdom helps guide us, and whose lives challenge us to live more like Christ.
